Ron Santiago De Cuba, known as the official rum of Cuba, was first produced as far back as 1862. It takes its name from one of the oldest towns in Cuba, founded in 1515. If the city of Havana represents Cuba in the world, Santiago is the one that best sums up the soul - warmth and passion.
The wide range includes the Carta Blanca, Anejo and the Superior ages of the 12, 20 and 25 year old.
Santiago de Cuba reflects Cuban rum at its best.
This light rum is excellent for cocktails and long drinks. The caramel flavor of the rum is soft, and also tastes light minty candy flavors. Flashes of vanilla present themselves. Some Banana peel and citrus elements appear, but they are mellowed rather than too sharp.
